Listed on eBay as “Action Comics #1 (June 1938) Superman’s Debut, CGC 9.0 – Perfect White Pages”, the most expensive comic book ever is being auctioned off as “no reserve”, and is meant to benefit the Christopher & Dana Reeve Foundation. This foundation is “dedicated to curing spinal cord injury by funding innovative research, and improving the quality of life for people living with paralysis through grants, information and advocacy.

The seller’s note says: “The finest known copy of the most sought after comic book in the world. A 1938 museum piece with PERFECT WHITE pristine pages.”
