Falcon Xbox 360s still suffer from 3RL

November 10, 2008 by Mel Leave a Comment

I just had a conversation from one guy that heads one of the shifts of the customer service for the Xbox. With Microsoft bragging about the new Falcon chipset that they said will lessen, if not eliminate, the dreaded 3RL errors that basically turn your Xbox 360 to a paperweight. I already have both the Playstation 3 and the Nintendo Wii so I figured that with the price drops of the 360 and the Falcon, it may be a good time to buy one now.

But what I heard from the customer service head was quite discouraging. He said that the 3RL continues to be the top call driver for the Xbox customer service department. Before you guys think that maybe this guy could just be referring to the first-gen 360s, I specifically asked if this also involved the Falcon-equipped 360s. He was affirmative about it and even added that it’s the main reason why he still doesn’t own an Xbox 360.

Makes you wonder why people still buy the Xbox 360 when you still get these monumental failures on the hardware.
