Imagine being a Fallout fanatic, passing away, then having the team who made the game find out about your fandom and work you into their next game as a kind, warm, and helpful NPC? It is both extremely sad but very validating to us geeks. Is there a better way to be remembered and immortalized? No, there isn’t. And the new Fallout 4 DLC did just that when they heard fallout fanboy Evan had passed away very young due to diabetes related problems.
You can now find him in the game’s DLC Nuka World, and he is as helpful in game as he was rumored to be in life, with his own brother saying:
Don’t feel bad about taking his stuff (in game). He was the kind of guy who would give you the shirt off his back.
Powerful stuff and a great homage from Bethesda to what sounded like an amazing person. Thanks Evan, may you now live forever in binary code….
