“After nourishment, shelter and companionship, stories are the thing we need most in the world.”
― Philip Pullman
No truer words have been spoken.
Think about it…
From movies to TV shows to books to video games – all of these tell their own stories, and we get all wrapped up in them.
TV shows get canceled. Movies flop. Books don’t sell. Video games gather dust in the shelves.
There are many factors, of course, but one major reason is that the storyline sucks. There are, however, the great works of fiction that we will never forget because the story sticks with us forever. And in many of these works, we find mention of fictional books as well.
Books such as the histories of so and so, the rules of this society, and so on. These are the fictional books (from fiction) that we would want to read if only they existed.
I’m sure you can rattle off some of these fictional books from fiction (your favorite ones especially), but here is a cool graphic listing some of the greatest. From Back to the Future II to The Hobbit to Donnie Darko to Game of Thrones to Fallout 3 – and more – the infographic showcases the best fictional works that may never see the light of day.
But who knows? Someone might just be inspired to create them.
Now, if can choose only one book to be written, which one would it be and why?
