Game of Thrones in Minecraft is Mind-Boggling

A group of cunning Minecraft players are building the entire world of Westeros, from Game of Thrones, aka A Song of Ice and Fire, in incredible, blocky-pixelated detail. I’ve never seen a Minecraft build so insanely intricate as this.

For several months now, a team of hardcore fans have been hard at work building this astounding recreation of Westeros inside the virtual block-building world of Minecraft. They’ve lovingly, painstakingly created Minecraft versions of the entirety of Westeros, including important locations such as Winterfell, King’s Landing, the Wall, Casterly Rock, and many more. It’s a staggering accomplishment.

The new photos you see above have obviously benefited from some Photoshop touch-ups, but only to enhance the drama, with mood lighting and composition. You can find out lots more about this project over at westeroscraft.com.
