Get Ready for Summer With Camp Myth on Kickstarter

The importance of high quality
children’s books cannot be emphasized enough. While the perception of quality may vary from person to person, let’s just say that a good mix of fantasy and practicality is one of my requisites.

Hence my backing up this Kickstarter project: Camp Myth.

Camp Myth is a children’s book project by Chris Lewis Carter from Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada. The project is set up to launch a series of Camp Myth books which revolve around the idea of a summer camp.

We’ve all been to at least one summer camp, I suppose, but I bet none comes close to Camp Myth. In this fantasy summer camp, the kids learn about minotaurs, dryads, merfolk, centaurs, and so on. Of course, the participants in the camp also have their own unique characteristics, shape shifting one of the more interesting ones.

Here’s a short video explaining more about Camp Myth.

So, moving on to the practical stuff. Chris needs the help of the community to be able to make Camp Myth a reality. He is working together with Jay Camay and Anne Ballaran to provide cool illustrations.

As with any Kickstarter project, they have a goal to reach. In this case, it’s $4,000 by June 18. They have not reached half of the required amount, so if you like the idea, why don’t you pitch in? Even if you do not have much money to spare, remember that every single dollar counts! Donate to Camp Myth!

With summer coming up, wouldn’t you rather have the kids reading this kind of material instead of the crap that is to be found out there?
