Google to bump Gmail's storage to 6GB by January
Although Yahoo is already offering infinite space, Google prefers to continue working with numbers and announced that by January next year, you will have 6GB of e-mail storage rather than the 3GB (more or less) that we have now.
Rather than just giving us an instant boost, they gave their counter an increase of speed. If this rate continues until January the 4th, we will then have 6GB of storage. Gmail for domains will also match Gmail’s increases soon enough, and the Premium accounts will receive a boost from 10GB of data to 25GB.
They’re still behind Yahoo, in terms of storage capacity, but in everything else, I still prefer them.
