Guardians of the Galaxy Soundtrack Is Hiply Retro

Ever since the first trailer of Guardians of the Galaxy was released, we all know just how fun the movie is going to be. Even though we’ve not seen it yet. I don’t know about you, but this image is forever stuck in my mind.

But that’s not even the most striking thing. It’s this.

Or more particularly, Groot examining it.

Enter the Guardians of the Galaxy Soundtrack, which has been released, and boy, oh, boy, is this one a cool soundtrack or what?

The Guardians of the Galaxy Soundtrack is so retro that it’s hip, but not in the way that people laugh at these days. If you know what I mean…

Not unexpectedly, this is the cover art for the Guardians of the Galaxy Soundtrack.

We even know the track listing:

  • Hooked on a Feeling – Björn Skifs/Blåblus
  • Go All The Way – The Raspberries
  • Spirit In The Sky – Norman Greenbaum
  • Moonage Daydream – David Bowie
  • Fooled Around And Fell In Love – Elvin Bishop
  • I’m Not In Love – 10cc
  • I Want You Back – Jackson 5
  • Come And Get Your Love – Redbone
  • Cherry Bomb – The Runaways
  • Escape (The Pina Colada Slong) – Rupert Holmes
  • O-o-h Child – The Five Stairsteps
  • Ain’t No Mountain High Enough – Marvin Gaye Tammi Terrell

And if you have to have the soundtrack before anyone else, pre-order at Amazon for $10. Or, just make your own mix tape…
