I-O Data releases Dual DVD burner

As the new disk formats slowly make their way into the market, and as our media files become bigger and bigger due to the bitrate and the quality, recording DVDs becomes more and more a cumbersome task.

Unless you have a Dual Core processor, burning a DVD means that you “have” to stop doing other tasks while recording it. And I don’t know about you readers, but having to leave the computer idle for 15 minutes or more can sometimes put you off from wanting to burn a DVD in the first place.

Thankfully, companies like I-O Data, release products that help you solve this problem a little bit. The Dual DVD burner allows you to copy a DVD without the need of a personal computer. Although the price might put you off (about $455), if you deal with a lot of DVD backups, this tool might save you priceless amounts of time, and I’ve certainly felt the need for such a gadget more than a few times when I copy my friend’s Anime DVDs.
