IBM releases it's own Office suite for free
As if Microsoft wasn’t had a hard time already trying to sell it’s Office productivity suite for that ridiculous price we all know (unless you’re a student), IBM has decided to release it’s own Office suite for free.
Although it’s only compatible with the most used files (.doc, .xls, .ppt) it’s more than enough to do simple tasks like writing a letter or doing a presentation. You can download the suite from IBM’s download page for Linux or Windows. Hopefully, there will also be a Mac OS X version in the near future.
