The #IceBucketChallenge Gone Geek

Or nerd. Whichever term you prefer.

The Ice Bucket Challenge has taken the Internet by storm, to the point that haters have come out of the woodwork. But who cares about the haters, when the Ice Bucket Challenge has helped the cause for ALS (Lou Gehrig’s Disease) awareness. It has gone more viral than viral, with even a death by Ice Bucket Challenge hoax already circulating.

Countless features have been made about big names taking on the Ice Bucket Challenge and challenging their peers, but here are our favorites – Ice Bucket Challenge gone geek.

Green Arrow

Oliver Queen. Stephen Amell. Oh, those muscles!

Iron Man

Tony Stark. Robert Downey Jr.

Not so impressive performance here, but it’s RDJ.

Legendary outlaw. Chris Pratt.

He takes his time, and preps himself for the Ice Bucket Challenge with some Blue Ice Vodka and Smirnoff Ice, except that the timing wasn’t quite perfect.

The Big Bang Theory Crew

Haters gonna hate, and there are many self-proclaimed geeks who say TBBT is a fraud. But do we care? The Big Bang Theory crew – at least Penny and Amy – proved themselves with the Ice Bucket Challenge.

Steve Ballmer

He’s truly happy about being the new owner of the LA Clippers, and probably really busy, too, but that didn’t keep him from passing up on the challenge.

Bill Gates

The undoubted winner of the Ice Bucket challenge, everyone says. He was challenged by Mark Zuckerberg, and boy, did Bill Gates stand up!

Unrelated: comic sans.

501st Legion

The 501st Legion is THE group for Star Wars fans, and when JJ Abrams challenged them, they didn’t think twice.

Vin Diesel

Some of you might challenge my including him in this post, but two words: Vin Diesel. And hey, he is Riddick after all!

The best part? Look at the people he challenges: “I challenge the First Lady, Angelina Jolie… and Putin!!! Grrr… #Vinstagram”
