To Infinity and Beyond: NASA Approves Mars Mining Mission for 2018

Mars is one of those planets that we are just dying to know more about. If you think of Mars, you realize, our exploration has been the equivalent of pushing a foot into an open door. Yes, we are in, but that doesn’t mean we know anymore than that yet. Looks like NASA has a mission to Mars planned for 2018 that is going to be a bit more advanced than just putting our foot in the door.

As inspired by No Man’s Sky, we are going to be doing some digging, mining, and very little else. While that No Man’s Sky burn was a joke, it still felt like it was timely enough that I pulled it off. Thoughts?

What I meant to say was:

The InSight mission, which will study Mars deep interior, has been officially approved by NASA for a launch on May 5, 2018.

There you go. Much more professional and to the point. That is all we have for details (outside of what you hear and see in this video), but just the prospect of going to Mars and actually doing some terraforming is pretty insane. I pray they don’t awaken the awaken any of the sandworms from Dune.

Actually, I won’t lie to you. I kind of hope they do. That would change our whole definition of reality.
