Invisible Shield 3 months later
As you all probably known, scratches is a problem that has always preoccupied all iPod Nano and iPod with Video owners. Due to the easiness of scratching, many resorted to find ways to protect their iPods, and a whole range of products showed up from nowhere: Silicon Cases, Plastic Cases, Plastic Sticker Covers, Socks and Lawyers.
(Or for the really healthy that 100$ leather case)
I for one chose the third choice, and after reading a few blogs, I decided to try ordering a cover from Invisible Shield.
I still remember like it was yesterday, the first thing that struck me when I reached the site was the helicopter banner (no longer there) and something saying that the “technology” they used to protect the iPods was the same one used to protect the US Army Helicopter’s Blades. I instantly broke up laughing, but that’s not the point here, not is the point giving a refferal link to myself.
The point is that after 3 wonderful months of iPod Nano’ness with an Invisible Shield around. I can safely, and surely say, my iPod is scratch free, and if I took the cover off and wiped it clean a bit, it could certainly be confused for a new unit.
Even though $20 is a bit steep for some sliced plastic, it does it’s job perfectly and in the long run you only come out winning with it. It’s something every iPod Nano owner should have. Even if they already have any of the protective things mentioned before.
With this said, I present the Invisible Shield with a 4.5 star rating (out of 5), and the only reason I didn’t give it a top five is because I find the price a bit unfair.
Now, if only Apple would build their iPods out of the same material my Sony Ericsson is made of…
