iPodDownload iTunes plugin - extract music from your iPod

Sure we have all read Bring your iPod to life by killing auto-sync, the premier treatise on the ins and outs of the Auto-sync feature in iTunes. We all know how to turn off auto-sync if necessary. And we also know how to copy music from an iPod (there are many ways).

Now there is an iTunes plugin, iPodDownload, that let’s you download tracks from your iPod to your iTunes library. How? It simply displays the songs in your iPod in an “iPod Download” source and allows you to drag and drop tracks to your music library. Neat trick. The only catch (if it is a catch at all) is that there’s only a Mac version of the plugin so Windows users don’t get any of the fun.

I’d take some screenshots, as I am wont to do, but I don’t have a Mac, and it just doesn’t make sense to take a screenshot of a screenshot, so you’ll just have to be satisfied with this externally linked screenshot.
