Is the Sandisk Sansa Clip an iPod Shuffle Killer?
Sandisk has released a new shuffle-like mp3 player called the Sansa Clip that improves upon the shuffle concept in a variety of ways. I posted about this over at Apple Gazette and ruffled a few feathers by suggesting this could be a shuffle killer – but after finding out the pricing and storage capacity, I’m more convinced than ever that this might be a better choice than an iPod Shuffle.
1) It has an FM Receiver (which is great if you like listening to the radio, or if you want to tune into the audio for the televisions playing in most gyms)
2) It has a display
3) It can play mulitple playlists, allowing you to navigate them using the display
The device comes in a black 1 gig model for $39.95, and the 2 gig version is $59.95 and available in blue, pink, red, or black. The device uses Windows Media Player to manage content, and XP or Vista is required.
