JVC Everio Camcorders with 2 SD slots

By Jim

I must admit, this is the first video camera I saw with a dual SD card slot. Now what would that be for, you may ask? Oh, it would be for a lot of things. Mainly for additional storage. You see, when you’re on the road trip you’d rarely have time to switch cards (if you have any extra) OR quickly zip up a connection with your portable (if you have any) to unload the pictures or videos you took.

Thank goodness JVC has thought about this situation and has developed the Everio Camcorder line.

Now I was told that this new line will be available by March 2009. With an average of about $600 for the GZ-HM200 high definition model and about $300 for the GZ-MS120 standard definition model. Isn’t it something to crave for! Uhuh, c’mon now… you know you’d been waiting for this!

What I am raring to test run is this video cams capability to seamlessly record continually from one SD card to another. Does this mean it will combine into one file name? I think so. And if so, this means you need not worry which SD card to record your video from. The camera things of the two SD cards as one. Which I think makes sense, because it’s digital. In the analog/tape world, you’d need razors and a splicing block to do this trick.

Get ready… and save up because by March 2009 this baby will be on sale.
