Volkswagen may have reinvented the Beetle, but nothing will ever compare to the classic one in my book. LEGO guys feel the same it seems like, as they are releasing the LEGO Creator Expert Volkswagon Beetle Set, the latest Expert model.
The Beetle in question is the 1960s model, and the set goes to painful lengths to get the details right – which is how things should be.
The set includes:
- an authentic 4-cylinder air-cooled engine
- fuel tank
- flat windshield
- curved fenders
- and even a roof-mounted surfboard
Of course, the interior details are included in the whole deal. We’ll see the seats that tilt so you can awkwardly get into the back seat. The dashboard that brings back nostalgic memories of driving under a canopy of trees lining your favorite road…
