Long Beach Comic-Con ends summer with a bang!

Long Beach Comic-Con returned to the Long Beach Convention Center for its 11th year, once again earning its title as one of the best local comic and pop culture shows in the LA area.

The first two days of the three day Labor Day weekend was packed with events for all ages, from comic-centered panels to a car show and the con-within-a-con, the Space Expo, featuring enough hands-on space travel content to dazzle the young and the old alike. Along the back of the room, wrestlers ricocheted off the ropes and body slammed their foes into submission, putting on a show that would make Ben Grimm proud (featuring a guest appearance from one of the cast members from Stranger Things 3 on Netflix!).

Of course, there were more than a few dozen booths packed with classic comics and key issues ready to complete any collector’s every growing comics library. And just beyond them were the artist themselves in Artist Alley, showing off their latest creations between cranking out endless sketches for fans. Long Beach Comic-Con has a well-earned reputation for fostering some of the best local, national, and international talent from all corners of the comics world.

But when it all comes down to the most visual aspect of the show, everyone loves seeing cosplayers showing off their talents inspired by the comics, movies, TV shows, and video games we all love. Here’s just a sampling of our favorites from Long Beach Comic-Con 2019!

As we wind down the summer convention season in Long Beach get ready to kick off the new year with the Long Beach Comic Expo January 11-12, 2020. See you back here next year with more of the same fun comics inspired content from the beautiful city of Long Beach!
