Long Beach Comic Expo 2016's Cosplay Kicks Off the New Con Season!
Long Beach Comic Expo kicked off the 2016 Southern California convention season with iconic guests, engaging panels, and more than a little cosplay.
Have you ever been to one of those “perfect fit” type of conventions? Not too small to be uninteresting, but not too big to be overwhelming. Long Beach Comic Expo (and it’s sister, Long Beach Comic-Con) is just that type of show. Whether you are there to snatch up the latest collectibles, meet some of your favorite comic creators, or just hang out with your geeky pals in-costume our just as yourself, LBCE and LBCC have become the go-to conventions in Southern California for whatever you need them to be.
Of course, no matter what you’re at Long Beach Comic Expo to experience, you can’t miss out on all of the fun cosplay scattered throughout the hall and out front among the food trucks and classic pop culture cars. We snapped a few shots of our favorite cosplayers from the big weekend. And, yes, there are more than a few Harley Quinn cosplayers in the collection this time around, but with the Suicide Squad movie coming this summer, we aren’t really surprised. Besides, girls + clown makeup + short-shorts = Never killed anybody. Well, maybe Harley has. Forget we mentioned it.
Here’s a collection of some of our favorite Long Beach Comic Expo 2016 cosplayers:
If you want to know more about the Long Beach shows if you’re in the Southern California area, just head to the official Long Beach Comic-Con site to check out all their sister shows, even a few on the east coast. Watch for Long Beach Comic-Con 2016 the weekend of September 17th and 18th at the Long Beach Convention Center.
