Make Mesmerizing Ferrofluid Sculptures With Ferroflow
You know that here at ForeverGeek, we don’t only geek out over comics, video games, and movies. We love science, too!
It was back in 2013 when we were first introduced to ferrofluid, and we loved them. With the use of nanotechnology and a dash of creativity and fun, ferrofluid can be used by people of all ages to enjoy science in a practical way.
And now we’re back with more ferrofluid news, this time with Ferroflow.
Its maker, Matt Robison describes Ferroflow as “an amazing blend of technology and art, touch it to turn on the movements and be amazed.”
While that doesn’t really explain what Ferroflow is, just think of it as a device which automatically creates sculptures that dynamically change – ferrofluid sculptures.
It’s easy enough to understand if you watch the video below.
I see it as a different kind of lava lamp – or is it just me? Whether or not you agree with that perception, I do think that you can see how fun it would be to have a Ferroflow unit on your desk.
Just touch the “lamp” to get it going and make all sorts of ferrofluid sculptures.
The Ferroflow is a Kickstarter project which has already surpassed its goals, but you still have time to get your hands on the first units. Support the project by clicking on the widget below.
