We’ve all been there. We’ve all done that.
You know…things we have done that we wish we could wipe off our minds. Perhaps not with the feels that “The Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind” gave us, but more like that night you had a bottle of beer too many.
Well, scientists at the UC Davis Center for Neuroscience and Department of Psychology have been playing with light to erase memories.
In mice.
But who cares, right? After all, experiments done using monkeys and mice have been known to work with humans at some point. So, maybe, in our lifetime, we might have something like the much coveted neuralyzer from Men In Black.
Here’s the catch: the memory eraser that the scientists used only works with genetically modified mice.
While the memory eraser might be around the corner, I suppose you have to find a way to get your genes modified in order to get rid of that bad taste in your mouth left by your ex.
We’re doing science, b#tch!
