Microsoft Could Face Over $2 Million Per Day Fine
A Reuters report says that Microsoft could be facing up to $2.56 million US dollars a day in fines from the European Union for failing to comply with the EU’s anti-trust decision in 2004. The European Union has said that to comply with the decision Microsoft had to give information to other companies on the Windows operating system in order to run third party software better on Windows, but Microsoft has not been open about giving that information out.
Microsoft of course says it has not been dragging their feet in this process.
