More European iPhone deals reported
Although Apple’s September 18th event is still a bit far off, multiple sources such as the newspaper The Guardian, are reporting that O2 will be the official carrier for the iPhone in the UK, while in Germany T-Mobile will land the deal and, in France, Orange will be the carrier of choice.
In the UK, the independent distributor, Carphone Warehouse, will also be selling iPhones and receive commissions from O2 for it.
Financial Times is reporting that T-Mobile not only landed exclusivity for the iPhone in Germany, but also in Croatia, Hungary, Austria and the Netherlands.
Our sister blog, AppleGazette, also mentions that the iPhone’s release date in France will be November 29th, and it will cost €300 when it is released there, but none of the data plans seem to include unlimited traffic. So you can be certain we’ll hear a lot more of those iPhone bills horror stories from the European users in a couple of months.
