It’s the first full week of 2015, and there’s already plenty to look forward to in terms of movies, TV shows, and games. Many of these were announced last year, but you’ll want a handy one-stop-shop to look at the details, although some may not have definite release dates yet.
We bring you our hand-picked list of movies, TV shows, and games to look forward to in 2015.

Avengers: Age Of Ultron
Joss Whedon directs familiar faces with the Avengers doing their thing to stop the evil Ultron. Definitely one of the most anticipated movies in 2015, let’s hope that it won’t disappoint.

This mystery sci-fi movie stars George Clooney and Hugh Laurie and is touted as an “epic” film. Coming from Disney, that may very well be true. The synopsis from the official movie page:

Everyone loved Jurassic Park, but the same can not be said of all the movies following it. Jurassic World, however, has got our hopes up. It’s set 22 years after the original story, with two dinosaur parks. Of course, something goes wrong along the way. Oh, and
Star-Lord Chris Pratt is there to spice things up.

Starring Paul Rudd, Evangeline Lilly, and Hayley Atwell, Marvel’s Ant-Man will revolve around the story of con-man Scott Lang’s rising up to the occasion to lend Dr. Hank Pym save the world. Marvel just released a teaser trailer preview to heighten your anticipation.

Officially titled, Spectre, Bond 24 still features Daniel Craig as 007. Of course, we’re looking forward to another Bond movie!

The Hateful Eight
Quentin Tarantino works with Channing Tatum and Samuel L. Jackson to tell a tale of bounty hunters in post-Civil War Wyoming. We’re particularly interested in this movie, not only because it’s Quentin effin’ Tarantino but because of the cast (and the tantrums Tarantino threw because of the script leak).

The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 2
We have fallen in love with The Girl on Fire – in the books, on-screen, and off-screen. Of course we’re eagerly awaiting the end to The Hunger Games trilogy! (Or is it quadrology for the movies?)

Directed by Ridley Scott, with high profile cast members such as Matt Damon, Sean Bean (let’s hope he doesn’t die this time), and Jeff Daniels, The Martian is based on the popular novel by Andy Weir.

Star Wars: Episode VII
And, last but definitely not the least is Star Wars: Episode VII. No need to say more, yes?

You might be wondering where Game of Thrones is. We know that there is a featurette coming up in February, but rumor has it that season 5 might be delayed due to production issues. We’ll have to hold our breaths for this, unfortunately.
Aside from movies and TV shows, we have tons of video games to look forward to. Here are some of the games you’ll want to watch out for.
Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain
Hideo Kojima brings us another brilliant experience (as we can only assume). Venom Snake. Tons of open-world environments. Weapons. Vehicles. This ought to keep one busy for a while.

Everybody’s Gone to the Rapture
A first-person adventure video game, Everybody’s Gone to the Rapture is developed by The Chinese Room and SCE Santa Monica Studio. Sony Computer Entertainment is the publisher. The game revolves around six characters, each with a story to tell in an apocalyptic setting, but don’t expect The Walking Dead elements in this nonetheless spooky game.
We don’t have a specific release date yet, but here’s the E3 2014 Trailer for the PS 4.
Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End
They say that the latest in the Uncharted series may very well be the best PS4 exclusive this year, and with the previous games doing well, that might not be far from the truth. Watch this IGN podcast to find out the latest rumors and secrets about Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End. You won’t regret it.
Batman: Arkham Knight
The game is supposed to be the last of the series, so if you haven’t finished the previous ones, lock yourself up in your room with supplies and don’t go out till you’re done.

Mario fans who love creating their own worlds will want to get their hands on Mario Maker for the WiiU. You can create 2D Mario levels, and play God or whatever you want. Release date: first half of 2015.
Final Fantasy Type-0 HD
The popular RPG originally released in Japan in October 2011 is now being made available in HD for the PlayStation Portable, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. If you want the same gaming experience in eye-popping HD, then get ready for Final Fantasy Type-0 HD.

The Legend of Zelda (Wii U)
IGN has one thing to say: “Hyrule has never looked better.”
The 18th (main) game in the series, The Legend of Zelda Wii U will be released “some time this year”.
