MS rolling with the Penguin
Stuart Cohen, head of the Open Source Development Lab has suggested that the rumours of Microsofts collaboration with the Open Source community may be more than just rumours. He has made several comments which suggest that software from the corporate giants may only be a few steps away from the forward looking Linux environment and also added that he considers proprietary software development to be essential to the further adoption of Linux and an equilibrium must be struck between the two in order for each to develop further. With the recent settling of the momentus battle between those at Redmond and Open Source Developers the world over, it appears that Microsoft may be directing their sites at the few niches left in the Linux compatible software market whilst still maintaining sales of the Windows Operating System and all it entails.
