My Dream App Entry: Atmosphere
I was recently having a look at the entries of the My Dream App competition. In case you don’t know what this competition is about you can click here or read the following brief explanation.
My Dream App is a competition which is basically a mix between the Big Brother TV Show and Google’s Summer of Code (for example). There are various competitors bringing out their ideas for innovative applications and the users vote on which ideas they like the best, while the least voted ones get discarded. The most voted idea will become a real program for the Mac OSX.
Atmosphere caught my eye over all the others, and I’m surprised that this idea hasn’t been used yet in a widget or something.
The idea of Atmosphere is that your desktop reflects the weather outside. If it’s raining, you’ll see rain on your desktop. If it’s drizzling you’d see drops of water as if you were looking out a window with rain drops on it, and so on, and so on.

Although it’s not the most useful entry of the ones announced, I found it to be one of the most interesting ones.
