New BioShock Infinite Trailer Is Worth Your Valuable Time

Lest we forget amid Dishonored, Assassin’s Creed III, Halo 4, and all the other new games due before Christmas, Irrational Games wants to remind you that they’re BioShock Infinite in early 2013, with this intense, action-heavy new trailer.

Titled “Beast of America,” this 1.5 minute trailer is made up entirely of in-game footage. No pre-rendered cutscenes in sight. The contents of the trailer were voted on by fans of Irrational Games on Facebook. It includes peeks at never-before-seen ways you’ll use your Sky-Hook, Elizabeth working as Booker’s assistant in combat, and plenty of sights and sounds from around Columbia, the city-in-the-sky where BioShock Infinite is set.

Seriously, I don’t think the anticipation level for this game could be any higher. It’s going to be mind-blowing.

In related news, Irrational also announced today that a collection of puzzle games that unlock content in BioShock Infinite is now available to those who pre-order the game. The bonus content is called BioShock Infinite: Industrial Revolution, and it’s a collection of almost 60 puzzles where you’re a factory worker in Columbia challenged with keeping the machinery working. You’ll also learn all about the warring factions in the game as you play. Solve the puzzles, and you’ll unlock in-game items like weapons, tools, and power-ups. Industrial Revolution is free to play for those who pre-order BioShock Infinite.

Industrial Revolution was created by Lazy 8 Studios. Check out screenshots of the puzzle game below.
