News: Mobile Me to launch today
Apple announces (right here) that they are launching MobileMe today July 9, 2008.
The new MobileMe Internet service delivers push email, push contacts and push calendars to native applications on iPhone, iPod touch, Macs and PCs. A subscription-based service with 20GB of storage for $99 (US) per year for individuals and $149 (US) for a Family Pack, MobileMe provides a suite of elegant, ad-free web applications — Mail, Contacts and Calendar, a Gallery for viewing and sharing photos, and iDisk for storing and exchanging documents — that deliver a desktop-like experience through any modern browser.
MobileMe is the redesigned and empowered .Mac service that I’ve been enjoying for over a year now. I think I will love the new interface and the new features that they’ve added to make my online experience an even more enjoyable one.
I think you should view the guided tour to get a firmer grip on what MobileMe is. All I’m enjoying at the moment is their new web interface service. It feels like an actual application, well thought of I might add. I like the way they have said “Your desktop everywhere”. :)
What’s even more cool is that .mac users, like me, can send and receive mail using [email protected]. I like that domain, feels really “personal”.
