Our Favorite Christopher Lee Videos

Sir Christopher Lee’s passing at the age of 93 has sent out waves of grief and loss throughout the world.

For most of us, he is the greatest villain of all time. He is Saruman. He is Sir Christopher Lee. Period.

But we also know that he has dabbled (understatement?) in music and other arts. Being such a talented person, why should we be surprised?

He also drew a lot of attention with his heavy metal renditions of popular songs, but he had some videos that may not have received the acclaim they should have. And with that, we bring you some of the best Christopher Lee videos.

Warning: chills and shivers up and down your spine.

Treebeard’s Song

This was performed by Christopher Lee with the Tolkien Ensemble. Hauntingly beautiful.

The Bloody Verdict of Verden

Music video of the song “The Bloody Verdict of Verden”, aka “The Blood of the Saxon Men” belonging to the album “Charlemagne: By the Sword and the Cross” (2010) Symphonic metal version.. By Sir Christopher Lee.

A Heavy Metal Christmas

This is available in iTunes, and while Christmas is still far off, if you don’t have a copy, go for!

Ghost Riders in the Sky

I think that Johnny Cash would give this a thumbs up. Even two.

Rhapsody of Fire & Christopher Lee – Magic of the Wizard’s Dream HD

I don’t know about you, but this is a perfect coming together of vocal and instrumental talent.

The Raven

While this is a fan-made video, and not a song, Christopher Lee’s reading of Edgar Allan Poe’s The Raven is, hands down, the best.

Sir Christopher Lee on his music

Here’s a short talk at University College Dublin, where he says “What I sing is Symphonic Metal”.
