PS3 to be Region Free for Games

Even though they keep tearing hardware out of the console lately they’ve brought out really good news regarding their next gen system.

Just like the Playstations little brother, the PSP, the console will ship region free for games. Which might not mean much for American users since they usually wait for their releases but for Europeans and the rest of the world it’s great news because no longer will we have to wait months without end for lazy translations (that sometimes even fans bring out faster).

In other news: Balmer’s happy that the PS3 was delayed and says that it will give time for Microsoft to get confortable in the market, but, during the last weeks, the few pluses the 360 had over the PS3 are becoming obsolete and there’s still no killer app for 360, nor will there be any for still a few months to come.

I have a PS2 and I feel that I still haven’t gotten everything that I could out of it (still had about a dozen games to finish) so, for me, there’s no hurry Sony.
