Science Fiction Epic: The Far Bank of the Rubicon

Here’s something new for you science fiction fans. Author Erik Wecks (writer at GeekDad, too) is getting ready to publish a new science fiction epic titled “The Far Bank of the Rubicon”.

Here’s what you need to know about the book.

The Facts

The Far Bank of the Rubicon is the first volume of a three volume space opera epic, written by author Erik Wecks. Wecks believes that many modern space opera books seem in desperate need of some characters to go with their ‘splosions. He aims to fill that void.

Erik is the author of the science fiction novel Aetna Adrift and several short stories. Aetna Adrift has been well received by critics and readers alike. Both The Far Bank of the Rubicon and Aetna Adrift take place in the Pax Imperium, a galactic empire on the bring of collapse.

To give you an idea about the story of The Far Bank of the Rubicon

For three hundred years, the Pax Imperium secured peace throughout the galaxy. Now the empire teeters on the brink of collapse.

As war brews, the House of Athena expects Jonas to enlist. Unable to escape his gilded cage, the young prince accepts his fate. But when the factions come to blows, his secret affair with the daughter of a rival becomes a liability. As territory falls, Athena lays impossible demands on Jonas, and he is forced to choose between love and the ideals his family fights to preserve.

The Far Bank of the Rubicon is super-charged, adult science fiction from Erik Wecks, creator of the Pax Imperium and author of the critically acclaimed Aetna Adrift.
