Solid Snake's voice forms game studio

By Mel

David Hayter.

That name probably doesn’t ring a bell to some of you but anyone who’s played Metal Gear Solid will recognize that name as the guy who “plays” Solid Snake. Hayter may have become famous for voicing Solid Snake in the various Metal Gear Solid games but he’s much more than a voice actor. He’s actually an accomplished writer too. He helped write the scripts for both X-Men and X2 and just this month you’ve seen his name again on the big screen because he was one of the writers of the Watchmen live action movie.

Hayter now wants to capitalize on his burgeoning geek celebrity by putting up his very own production company. Dark Hero Studios is a partnership between Hayter and Watchmen producer Benedict Carver. The new company will focus on video game projects as well as projects for film, TV and the internet. The company will reportedly focus on the action, scifi and horror genres for their video game projects.

One of Dark Hero’s first project is Demonology. Still no information if this is going to be an action orient title or an RPG. Hayter confirmed though that their expectation is for Demonolog to be spun off eventually to other projects aside from games, namely, movies, comics.
