Sony Announces new Mini HiFi Set
This should come as no surprise, since Sony has made it tradition to announce their new gadgets a day or two after all of Apple’s announcements.
What’s special about this new Hifi is that it allows you to download music straight from NetJuke (an alternative for iTunes in Japan) to the Hifi’s Hard Drive. It features…
a 40GB HDD, an MD/MS Duo slot, CD player and a USB and Ethernet port. It also comes with an FM tuner and a colour LCD screen to manage your ATRAC, MP3 or other files. It offers 2x20W, 32Bit DSP, 24Bit DAC…
While this won’t be of much use for someone in the states (due to the Music store) it does sound more innovative than the recently announced iPod Hi-Fi. Perhaps, in this case, Apple could follow Sony’s lead and introduce something similar in their next version of the Hi-Fi with iTunes.
