Sony Ericsson announces new Cybershot phone
Although the 5 megapixel k850 is the new Cybershot model to beat, Sony Ericsson will continue to support lower resolution Cybershot cellphones. And if you aren’t megapixel crazy, this new k770i might just be what you want for all your snapshot needs.
This new device is able to shoot pictures of up to 3.2 megapixels in size, and is compatible with the speedy 3G networks, without compromising on it’s size. Being only 14.5mm thick, this is one of the smallest Cybershot phones yet. It’s even slimmer than my slim Sony T3 camera!
In terms of software, bloggers and photographers alike should be satisfied, because the cellphone comes with programs that allow you to do small color corrections on photographs or allow you to write an article for your blog directly from the cellphone.
Unlike it’s “big brother” k850, the k770i only supports Memory Stick Micro, and only comes with a 256MB card and 16MB of internal memory. That should be enough for the casual photographer, but if you want to listen to some music or record some short videos with the device, then you need to purchase a bigger card, and those Sony cards aren’t very cheap..
All in all, this device has a very nice design, and it’s great to see Sony Ericsson finally moving away from the small joysticks which sometimes break and are cumbersome to use, if you have big fingers.
But… why brown?
