Sony launches the XDV-100, a pocket Radio and TV

Sony recently unveiled a new Portable Radio and Television that only weighs 110g and fits in your shirt’s pocket.

It has a nice 2.8″ QVGA screen, “measures 98.3x61x15.1mm” and well, allows you to pick up any TV channels that happen to be in the air. I can see a market, and a reason, for a product like this to succeed in Japan, where there are a few channels anyone can tune to.

About 20 years ago, when my father went to Japan he brought back a “portable” black-and-white television that was roughly the size of a Nintendo Wii, and today we have one that fits in your pocket and has much better quality.
