Sony unveil new high speed USB memory sticks

An obligatory, but not much debated, geek accessory is the USB flash drive. You simply must have one with a larger capacity than your friends. It’s the geek equivalent of car lovers comparing how much horse-power their machines have.

Sony have just pulled the curtains on their latest sexy USB memory sticks: the USMGLX, that go from a 1GB minimum of capacity to 16GB (which just happens to be my lucky number). The flash sticks will have a LED to indicate connectivity and, like previous Sony drives, will feature different colors, depending on the capacity.

These models have a read speed of 32mb per second, meaning that an average Anime episode will only take  just about 10 seconds to read, or you can just watch the episode straight from the the stick.

The largest capacity model will cost approximately $313/€212, and the lower capacity models will cost approximately half their “bigger” siblings.
