Space Brew: A New Sci-Fi Drinking Game
It never hurts to have drinks at any gathering. Whether you’re playing D&D, or you’re just hanging out discussing the merits of your superhero of choice (or bashing the ones you dislike), drinks are always welcome. And, of course, drinking games add to the fun.
Especially if they’re along the lines of Sci-Fi drinking games.
If you’re not a teetotaler, then you’ll want to check out this new sci-fi drinking game.
Space Brew is a sci-fi drinking game that is currently running on Kickstarter. Project owner Philip Atherton describes his baby:
Space Brew is a drinking game played with cards. There are 200 cards, including 70 unique monsters, 15 mercenaries, items, weapons, sicknesses, salvage and money. All for just £20 delivered worldwide!
Tabletop game enthusiasts who don’t mind getting a buzz will be chugging the idea down in no time.
You have a damaged ship, and you need to get the parts to fix it. The parts include different pieces of equipment, and weapons that are dropped by monsters you encounter along the way. These monsters also drop ‘space sicknesses’ that will set you back.
Where does the drinking come in?
You draw cards, which gives you monsters. In order to defeat them, you have to take a drink.
For added competition, there are mercenary cards. These give you power-ups in order to defeat monsters more easily, as well as to avoid having to drink more.
