SUPER TALENT enters the Solid State Disk market

As I read the Akihabaranews article, I start to wonder about how outdated we are with some devices, compared to the ones already available in Japan or Korea. The editor of the blog was walking through the most popular business district for everything related to technology and found a new brand of Solid State (flash memory) Disks on sale.

The sizes range from 4 to 128 gigabytes, but, surprisingly, the price of the 8 and 16Gb disks was the same (480$). Unless flash manufacturers start to buy these in bulk and sell them at affordable prices with their computers, I think that it will still be a while before this technology becomes mainstream.
