Take your Windows for a ride in your pocket with MojoPac
And no, I’m not talking about a PDA. I’m talking about something much cheaper.
Lifehacker showed yesterday an application they discovered that allows you to do pretty much what you can do with those Linux distros that you can carry and boot from a flash disk. In short, this program allows you to run Windows from a flash disk (or any other USB drive).
It works pretty much the same way that Windows XP’s “remote desktop” does, except that you access your Windows from a flash disk. Basically, you plug your flash drive to the PC, run the executable from the root, and start it up. What you’ll have after that is your Windows desktop, and a horizontal toolbar on the top that allows you to switch back and forth from the Host Windows XP to the “mounted” MojoPac one.
The program isn’t free unfortunately, however, it’s set at a very accessible price, and only sets you back $30. You can purchase it by visiting their homepage here (www.mojopac.com).
