Black Friday is just two days away (Friday November 26) and with that day there will be many stores offering cheap deals on a variety of items. For our geeky followers we’ve compiled a list of techie items that you might enjoy.
Walmart is offering an Emerson 32-inch LCD HDTV for just $199.99, not bad if you don’t need an overly big screen. If you do want a big screen, Sears will offer the Samsung 720p plasma 50-inch for just $699.99. For the best deal, check out the Vizio 55-inch TruLED LCD TV at CostCo for the really low $1499. If you don’t mind an “off-brand” TV you can also head over to the website NewEgg.com and pick up an Auria 42″ 1080p LCD TV for $399.99. KMart also has the Zenith 42″ 720p 600Hz Plasma HDTV for $399.99.
DVD And Blu-Ray Sales:
Blu-ray player sales are everywhere KMart has the Sony Blu-ray Disc™ Player ENERGY STAR® for $99.99, while WalMart is offering the Magnavox Wi-Fi Blu-Ray Player with $10 free VUDU movie credits for $69 and Best Buy and Target are both busting out the Sony BDPS370 Blu-ray player for just $99, a $79 discount. You can also pick up the Vizio VBR110 which is BD-Live enabled and available at Costco for just $140.
WalMart door busters include 60 Blu-Ray titles for just $5 each, while 90 DVD cost as little as $1.96. The Blu-Ray and DVD titles at WalMart are big name titles, not just movies from 20 years ago that have failed to sell.
Walmart is the place to be for gaming systems this year, first you can pick up the 160GB Playstation 3 for just $299, then you can pick up the games “Uncharted 2: Among Thieves” and “Medal of Honor” with deep discounts as door buster items. If the Nintendo Wii is more you’re thing, you can get all Nintendo Wii gaming systems for $199 with a $50 Walmart Gift Card. Amazon also has the PS3 120GB model for $299, but Amazon’s model comes with Infamous and Kill Zone. KMart is also in on the gaming side of things with the Nintendo Wii w/ Wii Sports, Wii Sport Resort and MotionPlus + $25 Gaming Coupon for $199.99 and the PlayStation 3 160GB Holiday Bundle for $299.99. Best Buy will offer the Microsoft Xbox 360 4GB w/ LEGO Batman, LEGO Star Wars and LEGO Indiana Jones for $199.99. If Tablets are more your thing, KMart is selling a 7″ Android Tablet w/ Touch Screen for $139.99, I’m not sure how great the specs on that tablet are, but it’s a cheap price for an Android based tablet.
Apple will also hold their own Black Friday sale on their website, however they won’t release what deals they’ll offer until Friday. Last year Apple offered up to $100 off higher end iMac and Macbook Pro models.
The Barnes & Noble Nook is $50 off at Best Buy, but the real winner is the Amazon Kindle 2 (3G only – no WiFi) which can be grabbed from Amazon.com for just $89. It’s not the most advanced Kindle system but for $89 it gets the job done.
Those are just a few of the big named items that will be available from various stores both online and brick and mortar over the Black Friday shopping day. Remember that doorbusters go quickly and supplies are limited so you’ll wan to get out very early if you can’t live without one of the items I’ve listed above.
