TeeBlox July Box Review and #Giveaway

August 1, 2016 by Remy Carreiro 11 Comments

Before anything else, make sure you read all the way down to the end of the post so you can get a chance to score a free Blox of your choice.

I won’t lie, I am all about these monthly subscription boxes now. Granted, there are a bunch, but what you need to understand is, each one has a different angle that makes them unique and appealing.

TeeBlox takes that to a whole new level by allowing the geek to build their own box, right down to what kind of stuff is inside and what genre is it from. See, to some subscription box companies, geek is just a word, but to TeeBlox, they know just how massive and varying geekdom can be and they have it covered.

How so? Well, check out the site itself. They let you build your box, from geek genre to exactly what you get with your dope new t-shirt.

See what I mean:

So starting at the top, as you can see, you choose your genre of geek fandom. The symbols at the top of the page make it clear which genre you are choosing (from video gaming to sci fi to tabletop games). You KNOW you will get one badass tee in the geek genre you pick, but TeeBlox takes it further and even lets you pick your two “side orders” that come with it. I chose Science Fiction as my theme, and beside a cool tee, I chose one comic book and one sticker. I Love comic books and stickers (because I am emotionally stunted at 12 years old, permanently).

The goodies I got in my TeeBlox bag this month is a killer, retro looking BB8 shirt, seen below.

bb8

The shirt is comfy as hell, and the gray, retro, throwback look to it makes it seem like a vintage shirt, which is even cooler.

Next up, my comic:

avenegrs

Though I was quite sad with the way my mailman handled the comic (in hindsight, the comics may come in bad condition if your mailman is a jerk and stuffs it into your mailbox like mine did) but the comic itself is sick. It is an A1 Avengers story that mainly features Vision and Tony Stark trying to outdo one another. Made for a really good read, TBH.

Now, you may think the sticker would be the weakest of the bunch, but boy was I in for a surprise:

Are you kidding me?! Monty Python meets Star Wars? And the Black Knight mocking handless Luke? Yes, very happy indeed. Now maybe some of you can understand why I pick stickers. They are OFT far cooler than most suspect.

So overall, I was really impressed by TeeBlox. My only, minor, tiny complaint would be it coming in a bag and not an actual box, and I only say that because my mailman is a wee bit aggressive. Other than that, TeeBlox is an awesome investment that will make most geeks beam with joy at least once a month. I know I did, and do everytime I look at that shirt and sticker. Join up here, you can thank me later.

The Giveaway

Since we got one to review, it’s only fair that you guys get one, too. Of course, we can’t give everyone a blox, so you gotta work just a little bit for it.

First, what are we giving away?

Thanks to TeeBlox, one of you guys will get to choose a blox. Any blox. No restrictions.

The only thing is that only US residents are qualified to join due to shipping concerns. But don’t worry. You know there’s always another giveaway coming up.

What do we do now? Simple as usual. Tweet. Comment. You’ve got till Sunday, August 7 to do so. On August 8, we’ll be announcing the winner.

But we don’t want anyone going home empty-handed. The TeeBlox guys don’t want that either, so they’ve generated a special discount code for ForeverGeek readers. It gives you 24% off on your first month. As you’ve seen from Remy’s review, the blox(es) are totally worth it. So use the code FOREVERGEEK24, and use that money you save for your next month’s box. ;)

Back to the giveaway. You know the drill.
