Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles are Coming to LEGO

Just when you thought LEGO couldn’t get anymore awesome, they go and license a classic, kick-butt children’s franchise that’s still going strong. It’s LEGO Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles!
Today at New York Comic-Con, LEGO announced a new brand license for 2013, in partnership with Nickelodeon. LEGO Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles sets will hit in January, and here’s your very first look at one of the new sets. It’s called the “Shell Raiser Street Chase” (set #79104, in case you were wondering), it includes 620 bricks and pieces, and will retail for $59.99. It comes with five Minifigures: Leonardo, Michelangelo, Dogpound, Foot Soldier, and a Kraang Droid.
This marks the second franchise LEGO has licensed from its partnership with Nickelodeon, after Spongebob Squarepants. Here’s hoping they continue the partnership, though I hope they steer clear of that godawful Fresh Beat Band.
