The Games of 2011 -- In LEGO

This two-minute video highlights fifteen of the biggest games of 2011, by recreating them in LEGO animation. And it’s nothing but awesome.

Created by Alex Kobbs for the opening of the 15th Annual Interactive Achievement Awards at the DICE Conference, the short film took about three months to complete. It features an original score composed by legendary producer Glen Ballard.

The short includes LEGO-ized depictions of scenes from Portal 2, Forza Motorsport 4, LA Noire, Batman: Arkham City, Minecraft, Assassin’s Creed: Revelations, Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception, Halo: Anniversary, Star Wars: The Old Republic, The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, Dead Space 2, Gears of War 3, and there’s even a cheeky finale featuring a throwdown between Battlefield 3 and Modern Warfare 3.

Go on, admit it: you wish you could make stuff this awesome. I sure do.
