What’s the best thing you like about comics?

I would guess that answers like artwork, action, and depth of characters are at the top of the list. One cannot deny, however, that comic book storylines usually – if not always – include the element of romance. Some “normal”, some not quite so.

No matter if it’s DC Comics or Marvel we’re talking about, the romantic element is there.

It may not be Valentine’s, when romance is supposed to be in the air, but what’s stopping us from looking at the greatest comic book couples?

At the very least, they can serve as inspiration for the next costume party you go to – not necessarily Halloween as it may be a tad late for complicated getups.

Here’s an infographic which shows handpicked comic book couples who will always have a special place in our hearts – from the rock (or steel, I should say) solid romance of Superman and Lois Lane to the intricate web surrounding Batman and Catman.

Let us know if you agree with the list or not.

As with many real-life relationships, the dynamics of these fictional (so they say) relationships are complicated, but that’s what makes them so interesting.

Looking at the infographic again, which couple do you like most? Why?

My answer: a tie between Joker and Harley and Green Arrow and Black Canary.
