The Binary Ring
A ring concept design by Jonathan Ben-Tovim . When I first saw this I thought “hey I’ve seen this in a movie somewhere”. I think it was “The Island” or some other futuristic move. It is meant for people to put their own messages in binary as you could see that it’s speckled with holes. The holes would represent the binary 1 digit while these spaces with no holes… the binary 0 digit. The holes represent a 64-digit binary code message.
I am unsure what the material is made of, but this ring should be made of something that can withstand the fingers movement and other normal wear and tear conditions set by the hand. It is not for sale yet, I’d envision a strong ceramic or plastic version of it to test the waters out.
I’d probably venture that a “ring reader” will soon follow production if this at all becomes popular.
