Alice in Borderland

Alice in Borderland is a Japanese Sci-fi/dystopian TV series based on the manga of the same name.

Season 1 was released on Netflix in 2020 and was followed up with a second season in December 2022.

The show focuses on Arisu, a young adult with no direction in life, who is transported to a mysterious land and forced to compete in deadly games in order to add time to his “visa”, thus, extending his life there.

Each game is given a difficulty rating, based on the different suits found in a deck of playing cards, increasing in difficulty the higher the number.

Both seasons of the show received positive critical receptions and within a month of its release, the first season had been viewed on Netflix by 18 million households.

Fans of the show are hoping that news of a Season 3 isn’t too far away.
