Blue Lock

Blue Lock is a Japanese anime and manga series. It was initially written and illustrated by Muneyuki Kaneshiro and illustrated by Yusuke Nomura. The manga was first serialized in Kodansha’s Weekly Shonen Magazine in August 2018 and has been popular among soccer and anime/manga fans ever since. It has been highly praised by Attack on Titan’s creator Hajime Isayama.

The Blue Lock anime series first aired in Japan in 2022 and consisted of 24 episodes. It has since been renewed for a second season. It is available to watch on Crunchyroll.

The story of Blue Lock revolves around the sport of soccer, one of the most popular sports in Japan, coming second to baseball. The manga tells the story of Yoichi Isagi, a talented high school soccer player who is scouted by a new program called “Blue Lock.” The program aims to train the best forwards in Japan and create a striker who can lead the Japanese national team to victory in the upcoming World Cup.

The Blue Lock program is unique in that it is not designed to create a team that plays cohesively. Instead, it focuses on developing individual players who can score goals and win games on their own. The program is run by a mysterious coach named Ego, who is known for his unconventional and brutal training methods.

As of March 2023, there are 24 million copies of the manga in circulation.
